Venice of Senegal
Due to its specific location on the Senegal River, St. Louis also called the Venice of Senegal. In colonial times, this photogenic city was the capital of West Africa. The city is considered by many people to be the first European city in all of West Africa. You can visit the colonial district and the fishing district and while wandering the narrow streets you will find the remains of this glorious past. St. Louis is also known for the annual jazz festivals.
