Rare beautiful safaris in Luangwa
South Luangwa is perhaps zambia's most famous reserve. Here you will find the largest game concentrations in the country and more than 400 bird species, including the rare 'Angola Pitta'. Almost all species of game from the African continent are found here. The varied landscape consists of a combination of savannas, 'miombo woodland' and open plains where floods sometimes occur. Lifeline of the area forms the Luangwari River. The water of this river attracts a lot of wildlife. South Luangwa N.P. has the highest concentration of leopards in Africa. In the park, safaris are made by open land rover, as well as hiking safaris. Norman Carr was the first bush man to make walking safaris possible. On foot you will experience the wilderness up close. During encounters with big and small game, all your senses are stimulated; spectacular and intense!
