The Ocean Endeavouris a very comfortable, 9-deck cruise ship, which has been completely adapted for expeditions in the polar regions, where ice floes and icebergs occur. The top six decks are accessible to passengers. Here you will find all the amenities you can use during the cruise, including a large observation deck. The cabins and suites are comfortably and practically furnished, and the internal TV circuit will keep you informed of ship activities, meal planning and other practical information. The experienced, passionate members of the expedition team maintain intensive contact with you. They will inform you about the route, the weather forecast and the various activities. In addition, they give fascinating lectures on all kinds of topics related to the Antarctic, and they supervise all activities off board in a very professional manner. Multiple zodiacs are available for excursions, but the Ocean Endeavour also features kayaks, special sleeping bags and tents for an overnight stay in the snow, cross-country skis and snowshoes. TIPS & TOPS OCEAN ENDEAVOUR:
- The Ocean Endeavour can accommodate 199 passengers and 124 crew and expedition team members.
- There are cabins and suites – spread over four decks – in 13 different classes. The area varies from 9-30 m2. All cabins and suites have a bathroom with shower, the suites also have a bath.
- All cabins and suites feature a safe, robes, hair dryer, vanity products and 220V sockets. The temperature of cabins and suites can be set individually.
- The Ocean Endeavour features a variety of sports equipment, allowing you to experience the beautiful surroundings even more intensely. The options change by departure date!
- The Polaris restaurant is open to all meals. The times for each meal are determined daily according to the route and the planned activities.
- In the afternoon patisserie and snacks are served. Hot and cold snacks are also served during the cocktail.
- Decks 4, 5 and 6 are accessible by elevator. Most facilities are located on the fifth and sixth decks.
- The many facilities include a shop, library, gym and spa/wellness area for yoga, a quiet room, a heated outdoor swimming pool and a shallow children's pool. You can use the laundry service.
- In various lounges and in the bar you can find fresh fruit juices, smoothies and various drinks. Some lounges are also used for thematic lectures and briefings.
- Two saunas (for men and women separately) provide direct access to a deck, so you can cool off in the fresh arctic air.
- In the clinic there is an English-speaking doctor, who can be reached 24/24. The pharmacy has a limited stock of the most common medicines.
- Phone calls and internet use is possible through a pre-paid PIN card. Internet connection can't always be guaranteed, and the connection is slower than you're used to at home.
- Smoking is only allowed in the smoking area on deck.
