Fresh crab and Kampot pepper
During the weekends many Cambodians come to Kep. The culinary specialties they are mouth-watering are the dishes with fresh crab and Kampot pepper. The restaurants at the crab market are then full and lively, a better recommendation is not conceivable!
Remote deserted beaches
In Kep National Park you can walk through the forest, where you can encounter monkeys and other wildlife. Views over the bay are a delight! In the distance you can see Koh Tonsay or Rabbit Island. A private fishing boat will take you here in half an hour. Here are the most beautiful beaches in a pure environment, unspoiled and virtually undeveloped. A lovely place for a quiet beach day, swimming and snorkelling. Meanwhile, the barbecue is lit, for a delicious lunch under the palm trees.
Per tuktuk or engine out
Choose your means of transport for a trip in the rural area of Kep. The locals are extremely welcoming and friendly, and in a relaxed atmosphere you will be introduced to various projects. For example, you can take a look at a traditional we grazing shop, or a workshop where you can make beautiful objects from the hard bark of the coconut. At a pepper plantation you can see how the peppercorns grow, and how pure sea salt is extracted can be seen in the salt pans.
