Stilling and awesome

To the north, the tundra-clad mountain masses of Sajan, in the west the rugged and mysterious Altaj Mountains, in the south the dry sand dunes and rocks of theGobi desert, and in between abandoned steppes, deserts, deep blue lakes and rolling alpine meadows... In the most sparsely populated country in the world, the elements have been able to operate undisturbed for centuries. Mongolia, a pristine natural destination pur sang.

The awesome Gobi

The desolate Gobi, the largest desert in all of Asia, is one of extremes. The unabashedly cold winters have outliers to –40, the hot summers to +40 and in spring fierce sandstorms are the order of the day. Dinosaurs and mammoths once lived where camels, gazelles, antelopes, przewalski horses, birds of prey and the rare Gobi bear now brave the harsh climate.

The landscapes of the inhospitable Gobi are dominated by jagged rocks, undulating sand dunes and deserted steppes with a dry bush here and there. Be surprised by the flaming cliffs   of Bajanzag, experience the singing sand dunes of Khongoryn Els and spend at least one night under the enchantingly beautiful Mongolian starry sky. Where the world can't   find you...
