Varied tour in southern and central Myanmar

This long trip offers you the opportunity to go just a little further in several respects, which has a big influence on the intensity of your acquaintance with Myanmar. You will visit several states, crossing very diverse climate zones and landscapes. A number of beautiful nature reserves get plenty of attention.

In all the regions you visit, you have time to connect with different ethnic groups, and it is the people who give a country color. In remote villages and towns you will experience the atmosphere of everyday life, and gradually you will discover cultural differences and nuances. Here you can also taste local snacks or special fruits, the aroma of Myanmar varies from region to region. The locals would like to give you a glimpse into their existence, and the interest is mutual. The lack of a common language sometimes makes the contact somewhat awkward, but therefore disarming.

Of course, you will also visit many pagodas, historical and archaeological sites, which come to life through the knowledgeable explanation of your guide. The locations are very diverse, and the angle of the stories changes. Playfully you will gain insight into the history of ancient Burma, and the meaning of religious monuments, also in the present. The dividing line between then and now is not clear in Myanmar.

Transport

Most distances are travelled by car. However, you regularly get into another mode of transport, such as a motorboat or canoe, a bicycle, carriage or trishaw. You can also take a train ride through picturesquely beautiful landscapes. Of course, you often go out on foot. The walks are not heavy, and always optional. The many steps you sometimes have to climb on the way to a shrine are perhaps the most strenuous! Take your time, this trip is in no hurry.
