Cultural treasures and prosecco
In Venice, wander through winding alleyways, pass bridges where the gondoliers sail below, and stroll past Venetian palaces to get to Piazza San Marco. Historic Venice is the region's big draw but there is so much more. Art and culture lovers can also enjoy Verona, Vicenza and Padua. Or sail through the lagoon to visit murano's glassworks and colorful Burano. From the breadcing of the country, the Po plain, you can see the church towers of villages in the distance with their own ornate palazzie, bridges, medieval palaces and city walls. In the north, visit the foothills of the Dolomites where in the hills of Valdobbiadene the grapes grow for the prosecco.
