Swamp area full of wildlife
The Kaw Nature Reserve is located on the banks of the Approuague River and is so difficult to access that it is extremely unspoilt. Kaw or Caux, meaning swamp in French, is located in the commune of Régina in northeastern French Guiana . It is about a two hour drive from the capital Cayenne. Experience this wetland with a local guide and sail a small boat past a diversity of wildlife. Spot the many caimans and waterfowl, come face to face with capybaras and perhaps an anaconda. A mecca for the real adventurous nature lovers, 'W here the world can't find you...'
