Papaya Playa Project

Sustainable boutique hotel on the Riviera Maya

On one side a virgin - almost kilometer long - private beach on the Caribbean sea, on the other primordial jungle. Papaya Playa Project is all about the beauty of the surrounding nature. The design hotel is sustainable and fully integrated into the beautiful surroundings. The building style is open, functional and simple.

There are 85 cabañas in various versions, from modest jungle huts to beachfront villas. All have a rustic charm and excel in the luxury of simplicity. Everywhere you can immerse yourself in the splendour of nature and the laid back rhythm of Tulum from the hammock. From the restaurant, you can see the azure waters while enjoying fresh local produce. In the So Happy Neo Spa, in addition to the usual treatments, secrets of the Mayan shamans are used to pamper mind and body. Music is an important component; There are spontaneous jam sessions in the sand and parties to celebrate the new full moon. The whole idea is creative interaction and collaboration.

Tips and tops Papaya Playa Project:

  • The restaurant is part of the Beachclub. Here we experiment with recipes based on Mayan and Mexican traditions. Also, international chefs are occasionally invited for themed evenings with special taste experiences
  • In addition to massages and beauty treatments, the spa also offers yoga, tai chi and meditation as well as fresh juices, snacks, tea and smoothies
  • Natural amphitheatre where guests can share music, lectures, performances etcetera
