YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - VARIOUS NATURAL BEAUTIFUL

High in the Sierra Nevada lies Yosemite National Park , which was declared a national park in 1890 . You will find high mountains, waterfalls, glaciers, lakes, forests and the largest redwood trees in the world. Yosemite Valley is carved by glaciers that cut their way through the granite bedrock. The hardest and most massive boulders, such as El Capitan and Half Dome , remained intact. El Capitan, the largest granite monolith on Earth, presents a perfect challenge for experienced climbers. Half Dome towers nearly 1,500 meters above the valley floor. You can climb this during a challenging day activity. Visit Yosemite Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the world at 740 meters. Take beautiful walks and enjoy breathtaking views of immense rocks and hushed mountains along Tioga Road, one of the highest roads in the United States . Be wowed by the huge ancient Giant Sequoias in Mariposa Grove and walk through the famous California Tunnel Tree. The oldest of these imposing giants is estimated to be 2,700 years old.

DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK - MEETING OF EXTREMES

Death Valley National Park is located on the border between California and Nevada. A park of extremes and described by the National Park Service as "hottest, driest, and lowest." During the summer temperatures of fifty degrees can easily be reached and with only a fraction of the precipitation that falls in a normal desert, 'driest' can also be explained. 'Lowest' is about 'Badwater Basin ', at 86 meters below sea level, is the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. Despite its somewhat sinister name, Death Valley National Park is a beautiful and diverse park. It encompasses a desert with salt flats, rock formations, canyons, sand dunes, mountains and beautiful valleys full of wildflowers in the spring. Admire an unforgettable sunset over the sand dunes of Mesquite and walk the salt flats of Badwater Basin. Gaze out over the impressive gold-colored Badlands Furnace Creek or play golf at the otherworldly-looking Devil's Golf Course. Here, experience how the heat bursts, expands and shrinks millions of tiny salt crystals resulting in soft pop and ping sounds. Drive to Titus Canyon for petroglyphs created by the Timbisha tribe. Afterwards, visit the ghost towns of Leadfield and Rhyolite where gold prospectors sought their fortune in the 1920s. The biggest surprise in Death Valley is the beautiful waterfall Darwin Falls which is an oasis of tranquility and beauty.
