Dear Michal,
We are all very excited about this truly special trip to Botswana and Zimbabwe. We have said time and again how grateful we are to you for putting this itinerary together for us. Everything was superbly organized; everyone was in the right place at the right time, and we didn’t have to worry for a single moment during the trip.
From the very first day, we were pleasantly surprised by the lunch on the boat in Vic Falls—it was so nice and relaxing to cruise along, and then to be able to enjoy a very comfortable lunch with delicious food and wine—it was great!
When we arrived at Elephant Camp and had gone on our first safari, we started wondering why the camp wasn’t called “Impala” Camp, but on the second day, during our second safari, we were surrounded by hundreds of elephants with their calves—it was a magnificent moment! Jeremy was a great guide; we learned a lot and saw plenty of wildlife. Since we also had a boat tour planned and the water level was low, we had to drive to Kasane. The second day was exhausting—we left at 6 a.m. for a game drive and then continued driving through Chobe National Park toward Kasane for the boat tour. After the boat tour, we had another hour-plus drive in the jeep and arrived back at the lodge around 6 p.m. We saw so much, but the very hot weather and all the bumping around in the jeep left us quite tired—though definitely satisfied.
The flight with MacAir was already a scenic flight—a really fun experience. The biggest surprise was Savute Safari Lodge—what a beautiful and luxurious lodge! Our guide, Tau, was great, even though we didn’t quite get his sense of humor at first. He made sure we were always very close to the animals so we could take great photos. And the things we saw there—it was a special place where we could relax between safaris.
Finally, Shinde—another gem with a classic English style, decorated with great charm. Our guide was Simon, a bit less talkative than the previous one, but also very good. We alternated between game drives on land and boat trips in the Okavango Delta. The boat trips were, however, affected by the fact that there was still a lot of water in the delta—apparently due to the heavy rains in July. To round out our trip, we went on a mokoro ride on our last evening—a truly special safari experience.
In short, Michal, we're really happy with all your work. It was an unforgettable trip, and we'll definitely recommend you to our friends.
Best regards, and maybe we'll see each other on the next trip,
