We had a wonderful trip through Canada and Alaska. In particular, we found the initial personal contacts in this regard very valuable. Our trip was great, we stayed in beautiful accommodations, the one at Emerald Lake and the one on the Sunset Coast being worth an extra mention, as well as the wonderful accommodation in Ucluet.
The train ride was an unforgettable experience. Thus, we were treated to two bears running alongside the rails. Beautiful views and sleeping in a train for a night made it a very enjoyable experience. The food on board the train was very well taken care of. The stewards and other staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It is highly recommended.
We liked the small-scale hotels best of all. Our last week was on Holland America Line's MS Volendam. What a fantastic way to explore Alaska! Both the organization and the staff were absolutely top-notch. Cruising close to the glaciers and the whales so right next to the boat, downright magnificent, how much we enjoyed! The combo with the car trip through Canada and then at the conclusion the cruise was great. In short; we really enjoyed this trip and things like Ferry crossings/ rental car/ and excursion were very well arranged by you guys. We will pull out our photo book often to enjoy afterward.
