Our trip to Angola was very diverse, which gave us a good sense of the country. We enjoyed the beautiful landscapes (waterfalls, rock formations, and the vastness of the Namib) and the various tribes we visited. We also camped in some truly beautiful spots. The local agent took excellent care of everything. When our domestic flight from Namibe to Luanda was canceled, a single WhatsApp message to our guide was all it took to sort things out. Very quickly, we were picked up from the airport by a colleague of the other local agent and taken to a replacement hotel, where a reservation had already been made for us.
The camping experience in the south was exceptionally well-organized. Good tents, sleeping pads, and (certainly not unimportant) wonderfully warm sleeping bags. The food was delicious. We had a driver who navigated us expertly and safely along sometimes challenging roads. We were also very satisfied with the guide, the way he connected with the local (tribal) people, and his constant commitment to ensuring we had the best experience possible. The accommodations were also excellent in terms of comfort, food, and location, and the service was good—and in some hotels, downright excellent.
We look back on our trip with fond memories.
Greetings,
Erwin and Yvonne
