Boundless Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe clockwise

Zimbabwe leads the world when it comes to conservation, and that is exactly what you will reap the benefits of this trip! After a stopover in Lusaka, you will make a spectacular entrance into Mana Pools by speedboat after a road transfer. A short week and many game drives, river cruises, nature walks and birding excursions later, you continue the journey to the pristine Gonarezhou National Park, one of Zimbabwe's best hidden secrets in Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. With no roads, trails or fences, nature can take its course here without limits. Everything is bigger here, from lions to elephant tusks. Leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, wild dogs, zebras and a number of antelope species are also regularly seen here, and even the Nyala and the little Suni. Another few days later you will fly to Hwange or "Wankie National Park," Zimbabwe' s oldest, largest and most wildlife-rich park on the border with Botswana. You will almost certainly have the large herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra to yourself.

Spectacular closing

Two hours drive and you are at the impressive Victoria Falls, one of the seven wonders of the world and an absolute must-see in Zimbabwe! The way to end the trip the way you started it; in spectacular fashion!

Tips & tops from Boundless Zimbabwe:

  • You will stay in more than comfortable small-scale safari lodges throughout the trip
  • Without exception, the guides are professionally trained and English-speaking
  • You will spend time in Mana Pools, an area of beautiful nature and home to many animal species; from cheetahs and baboons to hippos and crocodiles. Moreover, you can explore part of the park (with big game) unaccompanied; unique in Zimbabwe!
  • You will visit the Chilojo Cliffs, cliffs of red sandstone in Gonarezhou National Park
  • Although Hwange National Park is easily accessible, the sheer size and dispersion of the lodges makes it very unlikely that you will encounter other park visitors during your safaris
  • Many activities are available at Victoria Falls; go rafting on the spectacular rapids, bungee jumping or take a flight by ultralight plane over the waterfall
  • This trip can be offered in different classes
  • Check out our recommended accommodations: Latitude15˚ - Lusaka, Ruckomechi Camp and Kanga Camp - Mana Pools, Singita Pamushana Lodge - Gonarezhou N.P., Linkwasha Camp and Somalisa Camp - Hwange N.P. and The Victoria Falls Hotel.
