Did you know that the Mentawai Islands and Uluwatu are known as the best surf spots in the world and that at Sulawesi and Raja Ampat there are beautiful dive sites?
BUNAKEN NATIONAL PARK
One of those dive sites is bunaken national park in northern Sulawesi. For beginners as well as professionals and snorkelers there is an amazing amount to see. The park is home to thousands of fish, colourful sponges, four hundred species of coral, various species of crabs, lobsters and molluscs, beautifully decorated coral fish and giant sea turtles. Special is the vertical cliff of coral that starts at five meters depth and in some places extends up to fifty meters. You can also dive for wreckage of World War II aircraft.
