Cataratas del Iguazú
The spectacularwaterfalls of Iguazú(Cataratas del Iguazú) are the largest complex of waterfalls in South America; a beautiful spectacle with magnificent views of this impressive natural phenomenon. The immense waterfalls lie in the northeastern tip of Argentina on the border with Brazil and Paraguay. Depending on the amount of water flowing through the Iguaçu River, the number of waterfalls is 270 to 300. The most famous waterfall is the Garganta del Diablo or the 'throat of the devil', a large semicircular waterfall where the water plunges far into the depths. On the Brazilian side, you have a good overall overview. The Argentinian side offers the best vantage points over the waterfalls and surrounding flora. Well-mapped paths and spectacular balconies take you to the most beautiful waterfalls and viewpoints.
