Good afternoon,

We are back from a wonderful month of Peru, Ecuador and Galapagos. First of all, compliments for your program; everything we wanted was in there. Also compliments for the local travel agencies. They all did an excellent job. Everything was tightly arranged, good drivers and guides. On our birthdays we were spoiled by hotels and guides, very thoughtful. The train trip, the landscapes, hotels, flora and fauna we enjoyed it!

Hotel Cirqa in Arequipa stole our hearts. What a particularly nice hotel. We had a good guide and driver. The train trip from Puno to Cusco was very nice. Hotel Tambo del Inka is absolutely delightful and highly recommended. Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo was nice, nicely located along the railroad tracks. We were upgraded to a room with a little pool and fireplace. The wonderful hotel in Quito was very far from the airport. As a result, we had to travel very far back and forth for one night. Quito seemed like a very nice city and we might have wanted to stay an extra night. Galapagos and Finch Bay were totally fine. The hotel in Guayaquil was lovely. Again, we would have liked to stay an extra night to explore the city. We have become curious about Ecuador anyway. That seems like a very nice destination for us as well.

So we are recharged by all the new impressions and soaking up another culture. We can take on another year and are going to reminisce. After that, we don't need to think! We are very slowly looking forward to the trip to Uganda and Kenya which is already planned for next year.
