Varied landscapes
Tall platforms with sturdy canvas tents stand unobtrusively against a backdrop of fig trees, African ebony trees, ilala palm trees and mangosteen trees. The only bush camp in a vast expanse of land is deliberately set up so that the many animals that pass here can come and drink and forage undisturbed. A watering place attracts many animal species in the dry season; elephants also love the ripe fruits that fall from the trees. It all takes place in front of your terrace, here you can go on safari from an easy chair. Of course, you will also explore by mokoro and 4WD in the extremely diverse landscape of savannah, lagoons and floodplains, riverine landscapes and forests full of mopane trees.
Leopards and wild dogs
The area around Mokolwane is among one of the best locations in all of Africa to see leopards, and is regularly featured in wildlife documentaries for that reason alone. Also, the area is exceptionally rich in elephants, predators and large herds of buffalo. How fantastic it is to search for leopards and wild dogs by yourself, both during the day and after sunset. Then the magic of the Okavango Delta begins, as your guide asks you to be quiet, because somewhere the deep call of a leopard is heard. Silently, the vehicle moves toward the sound. Listen carefully and scan the silhouettes of the trees with your eyes. That's where he must be somewhere... Where the world can't find you...
