JUNGLE, HISTORY & BEACH
The trip begins in bustling Rio de Janeiro. You will stay in the colorful Santa Teresa district with hip boutique hotels and a host of excellent restaurants. Then you will travel to the jungle, to the tropical rainforest of the Amazon. Trek on foot into the rainforest where the guide will explain the flora and fauna and the many medicinal powers of plant species in the Amazon.
You will exchange nature for the colonial center of Salvador de Bahia. In the colorful Pelourinho district, charming facades and colonial buildings from the 17th and 18th centuries adorn the streetscape and steep alleyways connect the old center with the port. The catamaran will take you to Morro de Sao Paulo on the island of Tinharé. Here there is a wonderful climate, a typical Brazilian, casual atmosphere and beautiful beaches with steep cliffs and palm forests.
