In July and August 2025, Edwin and Monique traveled to Argentina for an impressive roundtrip in which, after Buenos Aires, they stayed in Salta, Tilcara, northwestern Argentina, Cafayate, Cachi, near Iguazu Falls and the Iberá swamps before finally returning home from Buenos Aires.

Dear Joseph and team,

We have been back in Holland for a while now but still like to think back to our vacation in Argentina. Like previous times, the trip was very carefully designed and executed. The interaction with your specialist, Karen van Goor, while putting the trip together was very good. She was quick with answers and she clearly indicated when an answer would take a little longer. Karen dealt well with our requests for changes and clearly indicated the limits. This limit was especially determined by the outward and return flights, we had not realized that much beforehand. The final trip proposal was fine for us, both in terms of content and budget.

The trip itself was (almost) perfectly arranged. The local agents/guides were always on time and impeccable, even with plane delays. There was regular contact with the local agent to make sure everything was going well. Very pleasant. There was a lot of difference between the hotels but almost all of them were good. We found the most beautiful place to be Cachi and Puerto Valle was also great.

Buenos Aires was beautiful. We saw great things, including the during the fun bike excursion The tango show was touristy but fun and very tightly organized. Salta and the trip through the mountains was actually the highlight of the trip. Salta is a nice town, ditto for Tilcara. The trip to the 14 color mountains was great. Ditto for the long drive from Tilcara through the salt lake back to Salta. Impressive. Finca Valentina is very hospitable and throws high marks in the best dinner award. The trip to Cafayate was fantastic and Cafayate itself is a nice town to stay in. The drive to Cachi was spicy; a washboard of gravel, but Cachi itself is very friendly and is competing for the best dinner award. Very tastefully decorated hotel, beautiful. The drive back to Salta was again beautiful, cacti, condors and mountains. This part was the highlight of the trip. In retrospect it could have been a day longer, it is relatively many hours in the car.

Iguazu is a must-see. Quite touristy but for a reason. Good guide, beautiful park and spectacular boat ride. Nice. The trip to Puerto Valle was fun, saw a mate factory on the way and the beautiful Jesuit ruins. The location and stay in Puerto Valle are super. We had some bad luck with the weather, wet and a little chilly. We did manage to do the excursions but especially the trip in the swamps was cold. However, the capibaras were very cute. It was very nice to have been in this landscape. We ended up in Buenos Aires.

All in all, it was another wonderful trip. Thank you for your service.

Greetings,

Edwin and Monique
