Family trip Namibia

By rental car along the highlights of Namibia

During this very varied trip you will get to know the most beautiful parks of Namibia. You will search for lions, elephants and zebras in the famous Etosha National Park. You will climb the world's highest sand dunes in Sossusvlei. In Kaokoland, you will meet Namibia's last nomads. An adventurous journey through the wilderness of Africa with magnificent desert landscapes, vast savannahs and bizarre rock formations.

Safaris in Etosha

Etosha N.P. is one of Africa's most famous parks. A fourth part of the park consists of salt lakes that flood only after major rainstorms. Etosha means "great white plain. Now you probably understand why! The animals in the park, of course, cannot live on salt water. Therefore, a number of drinking water sites have been established, where wildlife often quenches its thirst at the end of the day. Exciting! Do you see the zebras appearing in the distance? What are those moving spots on the horizon? How funny those giraffes stand as they bend their long necks toward the water....

Damaraland, Kaokoland and Sossusvlei

Do you see baobab trees with their thick trunks and whimsical branches, the wild fig trees and Makalani palms? In this area live the Himba people. With their goats and cows, they wander around looking for food. You will visit one of the families. What strikes you the most? The brownish-red color of their skin, the leather skirt or their jewelry? Via Damaraland and Swakopmund you travel to Sossusvlei, to the most famous sand dunes in the world. Climb the dunes early in the morning and wait for the sun to rise! Plowing through the loose sand, it's a struggle to get to the top. Do you see the colors of the dunes slowly changing from orange to red? It almost looks like they are on fire. Then whiz off the dunes on a sled made of cardboard. Running really fast is, of course, also possible....
