Mosi-oa-Tunya
In northern Zimbabwe are the Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls are considered one of the seven wonders of the world. Over a length of more than 1.7 kilometres, the water of the Zambezi River plunges into a narrow gorge. Because of the cloud clouds and the deafening noise that this creates, the waterfalls are locally also called 'Mosi-oa-Tunya', or 'Smoke thundering'. The waterfalls are on the border with Zambia. It is possible to visit the falls from the town of Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or from Livingstone in Zambia. From both towns, many activities are organized, including rafting on the spectacular rapids of the mighty Zambezi or a flight by ultralight plane over the waterfall
