On safari in Malawi
Majete Wildlife reserve was declared a protected nature reserve in 1955. Unfortunately, the lack of resources could not stop poaching and in the 1990s there was hardly anything left of the wildlife population. Since 2003, the tide has turned: thanks to worldwide donations, the reintroduction has brought the wildlife stock back to a healthy level and Majete Game Reserve promises to be the only Big Five reserve in Malawi! Take your chance and explore as a pioneer in this piece (700km²) of pure nature: waterbuck, elk, saber antelope, nyala, kudu, civetcat, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, elephants, rhinoceros,... all belong to the daily décor. And who knows, you might come face to face with one of the lions or leopards who found a new home here in 2012!
