An adventurous trip through Angola with lots of variety. From angola's capital, travel south. You'll visit Lubango, a bustling settlement in the highlands, dominated by the dazzling image of Cristo Rei (Christ the King) towering over the pastel pink colonial buildings. On the paradisiacal beaches at Benguela and Lobito (Atlantic coast) you can relax with a magnificent view of the palms and granite rocks.
Kissama park with wildlife such as elephants, giraffes and wildebeest
Angola has no less than six national parks, with Iona and Kissama as the absolute highlight. Kissama is bounded on three sides by water: the Atlantic Ocean, the Kwanze River and Longa River. The area is therefore very attractive to wildlife, such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and antelopes. You can also make several safaris here, including a boat safari. The ascent of the Central Plain Escarpment is rewarded by spectacular views of the area. The overnight stay at the Cambambe dam will not be forgotten soon, you will have from the Pousada a magnificent view over the dam and the Kwanze River.
