Tour Cambodia – Vietnam

Varied tour cambodia – Vietnam

The journey begins in Siem Reap,   the epicenter of chic Cambodia. It is not only the gateway to the largest religious monument in the world but also a beautiful setting to explore cycling and by boat. The colourful markets, the picturesque countryside and the activity on Lake Tonlé Sap are followed by a stay in the culturally rich Phnom Penh, a mixture of old and new, Asian and Western with a French accent.

Spend the next fortnight in Vietnam. First in the cooler mountainous north, in valleys full of vast rice paddies and small villages where you will meet mountain peoples. Then by damsel in the bay of Ha Long past special rock formations and then slowly descend through the religious sites in Hue to the warmer south. In the sweltering Ho Chi Minh, you'll wander through timeless alleys and lad between sleek modern skyscrapers. The journey ends in the Mekong delta, where boats, houses and markets float to the rhythm of the countless canals and rivers that crisscross the landscape.

Tips & tops of Tour Cambodia & Vietnam:

  • During 'the small circuit' of Siem Reap you will visit the most memorable temples including world famous Angkor Wat and many Buddhist monasteries.
  • Whet your appetite with fried cricket, grasshopper and silkworm before venturing onto 60 Road Street to the rich variety of Khmer dishes.
  • The boat trip on Tonlé Sap introduces you to life on the water, past floating houses and Kompong Phluck,a village on stilts.
  • The glittering towers of the Royal Palace, the saffron-colored robes of monks, the brilliance of the Mekong River, the only dark in Phnom Penh is the Tuol Sleng genocide museum.
  • The museums and pagodas in Hanoi are very impressive, but for foodies the sky really opens up when visiting the market. Fresh fruit, a surfeit of herbs, fresh flowers, meat, fish and frogs, everything is there to prepare the perfect'pho' and'hoa qua dam'.
  • The cruise by damsel through Halong Bay has lengthy anchor breaks so you can relax on the white sandy beaches and kayak among the mysterious limestone pillars.
  • During the visit to the traditional farm in Tra Qua – by bike or car, you have the choice – you can join gardening before the cooking class starts. You will learn to prepare the local delicacy 'tam hu'.
  • The city tour of Ho Chi Minh takes you past pagodas, markets, museums, the former presidential palace and the highlights of colonial Saigon, including the opera house.
  • Cai Be is located in the heart of the delta and is known for its colorful floating market and the ever green islands.
