Tour of the mountainous north
Far from asphalt and busy cities, your guide will take you on a journey of discovery through the mountainous north of Laos. Various areas open up during a few multi-day treks and walks, interspersed with the comfort of road transport and pleasant resorts where you can quickly forget the nights in simple lodges. This way you will get to know the most unspoilt nature reserves, and you will meet mountain peoples who still live in a very traditional way. Some ethnic groups number only a few hundred individuals!
During long tail boat tours, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Karst mountains dominate, the hills and mountains are densely overgrown. Even on the rock walls, trees try to find a foothold. Where there are villages, there are rice paddies and plantations.
The journey ends where it began: in Luang Prabang. It is the spiritual capital of Laos, the city has a great cultural richness. Moreover, the atmosphere is lovely and stripped of haste. After your trip through northern Laos this feels a bit like coming home.
