Island of the Gods
Jeju-do Island is a beautiful volcanic island, 90 km off the south coast of South Korea . With a treasure trove of natural attractions, it is nicknamed 'Island of the Gods'. You will make the most beautiful hikes over the kilometers of Jeju Olle trails, along country roads lined with mandarin trees, impressive rock formations and narrow streets with houses made of black lava stone. Among the ancient towers of trees in Bijarim Forest , you will walk under shady canopies of evergreens where the sweet scent of nutmeg fills the air. In the center of the island, Halla-san , South Korea's highest mountain, is worshiped for the gods and spirits that inhabit it. Spend time at the beautiful Cheonjiyeon Waterfall, God's Pond, where according to a local fairy tale, seven fairies serving the king of heaven descended to earth via steps of clouds one fine day and bathed in Cheonjiyeon Pond.
Climb the Seongsan Ilchul bong cone rising from the sea and experience an unparalleled sunrise from the crater rim. Explore the surrounding blue waters for colorful corals and taste the unique cuisine of Jeju-do. Enjoy seafood caught by haeneyo, female free divers who dedicate their lives to harvesting marine life from the ocean. Where the world can't find you…
