The Holiday Awards, also known as the Oscars of the Dutch travel industry, were presented Jan. 31 at Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk. The award ceremony of these prestigious awards for peers, chosen by peers took place during the annual Travel Gala. This year, Untamed Travelling was nominated as the best travel provider for no less than three categories, namely, Far Travel, Adventure Holidays and Luxury Travel….
The Travel Gala was sold out to the last seat and, with a record number of nearly 700 guests, the busiest gala ever attended. The venue was stylishly decorated and the atmosphere was great from the beginning of the evening. T.J. van Apeldoorn, Director of TravMedia, opened the evening after which the shower of prizes began.
Right after the opening, the Best Travel Provider Adventure Holidays 2026 category came up. Then the redeeming word finally followed; Untamed Travelling is the winner of the award for Adventure Holidays 2026! Founder and director Jozef Verbruggen made his way to the podium to receive the award.
The Untamed team in attendance was delirious. Together they posed for a photo with the award and toasted to this special victory. The rest of the evening was mostly devoted to celebrating this fine appreciation. After dessert, the party erupted and there was long talk, toasting and dancing.
