Apostolic monastery & longest cable car in the world
The Tatev monastery is an Armenian Apostolic monastery, an imposing jewel in the mountains of Armeniathat dates back to the ninth century. Located on the edge of the deep Vorotan ravine, the monastery offers enchanting views over the River Vorotan. In the 15th century it played an important role in the development of cultural life, the most important Medieval University of Armenia was located in this centuries-old monastery.
